Neichaun Tatum

Vice President and Controller

Ms. Tatum leads accounting operations and compliance and human resource administration. Since joining Capital Automotive in 2005, her previous roles included Accounting Manager and Controller. Prior to joining Capital Automotive, she gained 10 years of experience in accounting working for Hilton Hotels and B.F. Saul-Hotel Division. Ms. Tatum is a graduate of George Mason University, where she earned a B.S. degree in Accounting.

Nicole Harris

Vice President, Tax

Ms. Harris is responsible for all areas of taxation, including the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, tax accounting and tax compliance. Prior to joining the company in 2015, she was a Tax Manager within the real estate practice at Ernst & Young. Ms. Harris is a CPA and a graduate of James Madison University, where she received a B.S. degree in Accounting and M.S degree in Accounting with a Concentration in Tax.

Melanie Stehmer-Townsend

Vice President and Director of Real-Estate Owned

Ms. Stehmer-Townsend negotiates directly with brokers, potential tenants, and potential buyers of assets at or near the end of their leased tenancy. Prior to joining CARS in 2021, she spent over 20 years in the DC/MD/VA commercial real estate markets handling leasing, asset management, marketing, design, and construction management for both institutional owners (Brookfield Office Properties) and brokerage firms (CBRE and Trammell Crow). Ms. Stehmer-Townsend is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she received a master’s degree in Finance and a B.S. degree in International Business.

Erica Wall

Vice President and Director of Portfolio Management

Ms. Wall directs the company’s portfolio management and credit functions by guiding and developing a team responsible for existing tenant relationships and underwriting new acquisitions. In over 17 years with the company, she has worked to identify, report and mitigate the company’s overall portfolio risk. Prior to joining CARS, she was part of the assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, focusing on clients in the Financial Services and Technology sectors. Ms. Wall holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from LaSalle University.

Hunter Amacker

Vice President, Treasurer

Hunter contributes to the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the company’s financial strategy, with responsibility across treasury and capital markets activities. During his tenure at CARS, he has also held roles on the Acquisitions and Portfolio Management teams. Prior to joining the company in 2018, he was an Analyst at Stout, an investment banking and valuation advisory firm.

Mr. Amacker holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BBA in Finance from James Madison University.

Roshan Thomas

Vice President and Portfolio Manager

Mr. Thomas leads a team that oversees the company’s automotive dealership real estate assets across the United States and Canada, where he manages the underwriting process for new sale-leaseback transactions, develops and maintains client relationships, and serves as a member of the company’s Credit Committee. Prior to joining CARS in 2019, he worked on the real estate investments team at Clark Enterprises, supporting asset management, development, and dispositions within the firm’s portfolio. Mr. Thomas is a graduate of American University’s Kogod School of Business, where he received a B.S. in Business with a specialization in International Business.

Alec Martin

Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager

Mr. Martin leads a team that oversees the company’s automotive dealership real estate assets across the United States and Canada, where he manages the underwriting process of new sale-leaseback transactions, fosters strong client relationships, and serves as a member of the company’s Credit Committee. He is also heavily involved with managing the annual training curriculum, college recruiting efforts, and summer internship program. Mr. Martin is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, where he received a B.S. in Commerce with concentrations in Finance, Management, and Real Estate.
